The office clerical staff has evolved over the past 15 years from a 2-person office into an expanded staff, which is "open for business" 24 hours a day, Monday through Friday. The clerical staff handles much more than routine telephone calls and requests for copies of reports.

Arrest warrants, summonses, subpoenas, indictments, and other criminal and non-criminal court paperwork commonly are first sent to the clerical staff for processing and distribution.

Sheriff Sales - All the critical paperwork starting with advertising through the sale itself and ending with the distribution of proceeds is all handled by a member of the clerical staff.

WebCheck is an internet-based program for civilian background checks. Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCI&I) developed this innovative program which significantly lessens the chances that child molesters and felons can harm schoolchildren and other vulnerable citizens of Ohio.

The clerical staff enters the offense reports and other paperwork that the deputies generate from Deerfield Township, South Lebanon, and County Road Enforcement.

The clerical staff is a team that works very well with each other and their duties are not limited by the above descriptions. They are certified to operate a 24-hour Law Enforcement Automated Data System (LEADS) computer. Information is inputted into this system when an item is stolen, or there is a missing or wanted person, as well as entering protection orders into the National Crime and Information Center database.

The clerical staff is often referred to as the "Central Hub" of the Sheriff's Office.
